About Yoga
Yoga is a gentle and effective way to alleviate stress, backache,
tension headaches and pains whilst giving you a toned, youthful
and healthy body and mind. It does not discriminate between
age, body size and is completely non-competitive.
I typically teach a class based on Prana Flow as cultivated by the wonderful Shiva Rea with whom I continue my teacher training (www.shivarea.com). The structure of the class comes from breath inspired movement, combining complimentary postures (ha -tha) to both challenge and offer meditative rest to the body and mind. In a class you can expect repetitve flow sequences (vinyasas) that facilitate fluidity and familiarity in movement.
It’s a marvelous means of exercising, stretching,
and freeing the body so it can be a healthy, long-lived,
and restful.
