As the proud mother of twin boys, I cannot recommend enough the practice of yoga during pregnancy. It not only conditions the body to the ever changing needs of pregnancy but it also provides that all important stress free time for yourself, your body and your baby (or babies!).

The asanas in the class are tailored specifically for pregnancy. Breathing techniques are an essential part of the pregnancy class and work wonders toward alleviating stress and overall discomfort and important to know for labour. The class in typical yoga style begins and ends in relaxation, taking time out of our busy days to completely unwind and tune into the beautiful creation within us.

Exercise as a whole is encouraged throughout pregnancy, and surveys show that a lady who continues to exercise in early pregnancy can usually continue throughout the entire 40 weeks. The classes are open to ladies at least 12 weeks pregnant, although in some cases we can start you earlier.

Classes are on an ongoing basis on Saturday mornings in the NEW hall at St. Mary's. You can start at any point in your pregnancy and continue right up until your baby arrives.

  • Saturdays: 9:30-11:00am.... ON-GOING ENROLMENT
  • There is a limitation to the number of people I enroll in a pregnancy class so they tend to book up quickly; please contact me immediately for details and availablity.
